The Grand National Quilt Show
Looking Forward, Looking Back: |
| A Grand National Retrospective |
The Grand National Quilt Show Committee invites quilters to come by the Joseph Schneider Haus for treats and a cuppa’ on Thursday May 24th at 1:30 pm. Learn about the fine legacy this national show has built over its ten year history and how you can become a part of it in our upcoming 2013 invitational, Local Colour. Our Chair will present a fascinating look at the highlights of past years through a PowerPoint presentation and Members of the Committee will be on hand to answer questions for first time entrants and Grand National regulars alike...
"Local Colour"
For our tenth Grand National we are becoming a biennial exhibition. This provides our Canadian quilt artists plenty of time to be working toward the 2013 theme, Local Colour. We expect that artists from coast to coast will chose to memorialize some aspect of their local community – some colourful personality, some festival or event, some familiar scene or dramatic natural phenomenon. Watch our website for additional information regarding Local Colour.
